Columbia County Sheriff's Office Lake City, Florida June 21, 2007
A Texas man was arrested and a large amount of money was seized after a routine traffic stop on Interstate 75 Tuesday evening.
Francisco Ramirez, 35, of Bigfoot, Texas, was traveling northbound on Interstate 75 between the exits for Ellisville and State Road 47 when he was stopped for traveling too closely to other traffic. Once he was stopped, he consented to a search of the truck and flatbed trailer where Deputy Cecil Brownfield and Cpl. Keith Jackson located a hidden compartment.
Inside the compartment located near the hitch of the trailer was nearly $300,000 in cash wrapped in a manner consistent with drug trafficking.
“There are known methods of packaging money that is used in illegal operations – usually drug transactions – and this money was packaged in such a manner, “ said Sheriff Bill Gootee. “This coupled with the fact that the driver claimed to have no knowledge of such a large amount of money gave us probable cause to seize it.”
“This was excellent work on the part of Deputy Cecil Brownfield and Cpl. Keith Jackson and a good test to the training they have received,” said Sheriff Gootee. “We have two major interstate systems that run through our community and it brings with it the good and the bad elements of society. We can’t forget that.”
The Drug Enforcement Administration was contacted for assistance.
Ramirez was charged with laundering money and booked into the Columbia County Jail. He remained there Thursday without bond.
seriously: I think Obama should have made them liquidate all their assets both business AND PERSONAL so they could climb over their own pile of s***; instead of expecting the American tax payers to do it.

seriously: Wake up people! Don't you realize that WE THE PEOPLE don't need the rich, THEY NEED US...to do the work that makes them richer so they don't have to clean their own toilets; and all we get is industrialized meats and crops, GMO's, antibiotic resistance.

seriously: That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. Best way to topple the rich...eliminate money and go back to the barter system; let the rich wipe their own bums and clean their own toilets...for a change! No more "Groom of the stool" for them.
