It's a good thing that there are places to discuss issues like this, and if people disagree it's sometimes SAFER then arguing face to face.....that's how wars begin..In my opinion Lotter AND Nissen are guilty, and I don't consider the movie "Boys Don't Cry" an issue. As we all know hate and prejudice is a powerful thing, ignorance is just as strong......
John Lotter, if he is not guilty, poor man, but if he is, poor this world, and poor it is for whoever have murdered Teena Brandon... If he is guilty, he deserves his life being in hands of others, so they can play with his how he played with Miss Teenas life... Now his life is in hands of the people who will, I believe, do the right thing... NOONE HAS A RIGHT TO TAKE A LIFE, FOR *ANY REASON, EVERYBODY HAS A RIGHT TO LIVE, FOR *ANY REASON. I mean, you cant just go around killing people, because you have feelings, includiing hate, and you should live, noone shall take your life... I am not for death penalty, better put the murderers to work some useful community work till their end comes as it should... If they dont wanna work, well, you know... You can always use some third degree method...
Put murderers to work in some community service? Do you have a family? If so can we send those murderers to your house to do community work? I mean you wouldn't mind having convicted murderers, rapists, and so on at your house would you?
For myself I want to keep those folks right were they are! Away from the public and away from other prisoners who have lesser crimes and don't deserve to die because some murderer has his little fantasy to keep murdering!

When asked about DNA evidence in John Lotters case the prosecutor refers to evidence found at a prior crime, the assault of Brandon. He does not mention the DNA evidence at the murder scene that was proven not to belong to Lotter. A hair found on Brandon's wrist, it was never determined who's hair it was, If it is someone other than Nissen then Lotter was framed just like i am saying he was!
I think it's easy to say that people who take a life should lose theirs, when you don't know the person...the circumstances...nothing is really true...anything which is reported has been filtered through at least two sets of eyes...how can you know exactly what went on and why....
I don't believe if you have been involved in the action of taking a life, that you should be allowed to be around everyone else, but I don't believe anyone has the right to take a life...any life.
That would all be good if there was any real evidence that he did it, Tom Nissen testified against him to save his own life. There is no evidence placing him at the crime scene. he was framed
Why are you Defending someone like Lotter. someone who is capable of committing 3 murders has no soul. i have seen videos of Lotter and nissen they have no remorse for anything they did what so ever. they are cold and soul less. Teena brandon lost her life for no other reason then she was who she was. and two others lost there lives for no reason other then to shut them up. a baby was left without his mother and will never know her. but you sit here and defend what those two did. how could you do that. that is like someone defending a person that killed someone you loved you would be outraged by it. so don't justify murder and rape Teena did not deserve it no matter how much you may think she did. SHE DID NOT DESERVE TO DIE OR BE RAPED. i say that is caps for a reason to make it clear she did not deserve what they did.
I think people are reading what other's are actually saying sometimes. There is no evidence putting John Lotter AT THE SCENE. His co-conspirator put him there with the gun in his hand and said that Lotter shot all 3 people. Now that's convenient. Do I think Lotter is guilty? Of course. Did they have enough evidence to convict him and give him the death penalty? I don't think so. Do I think he shot all three people? NO. I don't find some coward trying to save his own butt a credible witness as to who the 'doer' was. Lotter says he is innocent, but even he can't come up with a story about where he was if he wasn't there. Innocent? Hell no. Do I think there is a horrible inequity between the two punishments of the killers? Yes. I have absolutely no problem with the thought of frying them both. I have a problem reconciling the fact that the person that could have been convicted on the evidence isn't going to fry, but Lotter is, mainly based on the word of a killer trying not to fry. If I look at these issues from outside of this case, that's horrible. I am sure there is more than one innocent person who was on death row just because of such a thing. Is Lotter one of them? Not a chance.
seriously: I think Obama should have made them liquidate all their assets both business AND PERSONAL so they could climb over their own pile of s***; instead of expecting the American tax payers to do it.

seriously: Wake up people! Don't you realize that WE THE PEOPLE don't need the rich, THEY NEED US...to do the work that makes them richer so they don't have to clean their own toilets; and all we get is industrialized meats and crops, GMO's, antibiotic resistance.

seriously: Patented seed crops, running small farmer's out of business, toxic waste, poisoned water, dirty air, deforestation, global warming. By the way, who even wants to live in a GLOBAL GOVERNMENT world with a GLOBAL ECONOMY?

seriously: America should be more like Switzerland, fix our own 'broken wagon' and let the rest of the world fix theirs...it's not an U.S.A. problem. Screw oil, it pollutes the earth...GO SOLAR, WIND, WATER POWER! Screw the utility companies!

seriously: That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. Best way to topple the rich...eliminate money and go back to the barter system; let the rich wipe their own bums and clean their own toilets...for a change! No more "Groom of the stool" for them.
