Although I think his a partner in the crime, or at the very least a partner in the cover up, I live in Rowlett and another reason Darin might not have heard anything, is that the crime happened in the summertime and no one in Texas goes to bed in the summertime w/o an airconditioning running and their ceiling fan turned on. Plus he was upstairs. Of course, since I think he was downstairs or on the stairway giving instructions, all this is insignificant.
Plus didn´t they have a cat in a cage in the living room? They can make the loudest noices. And wasn´t the TV on? Darin could have been used to hearing noices from downstairs and not thought much of what he might have heard.
Talking about noices, (I am merely speculating) isn´t it a bit odd that Darlie, who claimed she slept downstairs because baby Drake disturbed her sleep with his little sounds, chose to sleep in a room with a cat in a cage and the TV on? Oh well, I might be wrong. Perhaps the TV was turned off and the cat normally silent during the night.
I don´t know what to think of this case. I don´t LIKE to think that a mother (and/or father?) could have done this to her children. But Darlie´s ever changing accounts of what happened that night bother me. A lot. I think that both Darin and Darlie are enigmas. Their reactions after the murders are quite strange - mostly Darin´s I think. Talking to police officers at the hospital the night of the murders, he started blabbering about how beautiful his wife was - actually asking the officers if they had noticed how big her boobs were!!! Right after his sons were brutally murdered.
I don´t put any significance at all into the silly string incident. If anything, it is more indiative to me of Darlie being innocent rather than guilty. In my opinion a guilty person would fake grief in a situation like that - she knew the camera was there.
But before i say more, I really ought to read the trial transcripts.
Just one last thing - it was a terrible mistake of the investigators not to fingerprint Devon and Damon. And how come Darin was free to go to a neighbour´s house and wash up after Darlie was taken to hospital? He was part of the crime scene, so to speak, and should have been photogaphed and have taken the blood on him into evidence. Wouldn´t that be normal procedure?
No, lastly I have to say that my heart goes out to the two little victims. A terrible thing happened to them that night that should never happen to any little kid.
If someone broke in wouldnt they kill the mom first because she would be the biggest threat to an intruder not little children...so why would the killer attack the kids first and not darlie??If someone planned to come in and kill why wouldnt he bring his own weapon?why come in and look for a knife in their kitchen?this case is SOOO WEIRD!TRUST ME IF i AWAKE TO SOMEONE TRYING TO KILL ME AND MY KIDS THE WHOLE STREET WILL HEAR MY MOUTH SCREAMING AND SO WOULD MY HUSBAND UP STAIRS!!
The murder weapon was never conclusively established, they are just guessing it the kitchen knife, under the law you do not have to prove motive, no one knows what people will do. In the Michael Crowe case an intruder entered the home, and murdered one resident, left the others, the police in their investigation? no one entered the home, or did they find the murder weapon, so it had to be someone in the family right. The last comment, Routier couldn’t scream if she was knockout during the initial attack, that fact was never conclusive ruled out medically, it was not proved she was not attack first.

seriously: I think Obama should have made them liquidate all their assets both business AND PERSONAL so they could climb over their own pile of s***; instead of expecting the American tax payers to do it.

seriously: Wake up people! Don't you realize that WE THE PEOPLE don't need the rich, THEY NEED US...to do the work that makes them richer so they don't have to clean their own toilets; and all we get is industrialized meats and crops, GMO's, antibiotic resistance.

seriously: Patented seed crops, running small farmer's out of business, toxic waste, poisoned water, dirty air, deforestation, global warming. By the way, who even wants to live in a GLOBAL GOVERNMENT world with a GLOBAL ECONOMY?

seriously: America should be more like Switzerland, fix our own 'broken wagon' and let the rest of the world fix theirs...it's not an U.S.A. problem. Screw oil, it pollutes the earth...GO SOLAR, WIND, WATER POWER! Screw the utility companies!

seriously: That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. Best way to topple the rich...eliminate money and go back to the barter system; let the rich wipe their own bums and clean their own toilets...for a change! No more "Groom of the stool" for them.
