Lam Luong has been sentenced to the death penalty. Luong is the Irvington father convicted of killing his 4 young children by throwing them off the Dauphin Island Bridge in January 2008.
Before the sentence, Luong turned to his wife, started crying and said he was sorry. The children's uncle says that's not good enough. "We didn't really wanna hear it. The family didn't really wanna hear it. Do you accept it? No. It's not gonna bring back anything."
Judge Charles Graddick sentenced Luong after a jury recommended the death penalty during the sentencing phase of his trial in March. Mobile County District Attorney John Tyson says he hopes this brings some closure. "My prayer is that God will have mercy on Mr. Luong's soul. My prayers is that God will also grant the mother, grandmother and the remainder of the family some peace."
In Alabama, the average condemned inmate sits on death row for about 11 years before being executed. The court wants the prison system to make sure Luong looks at pictures of the kids every day until his execution.
Judge Graddick also ordered Luong to pay $50 million in restitution. Luong did not have enough money to pay for his own defense, so he will likely never make good on that debt. But it assures he will never get a penny if he sells the rights to his story for a book or movie deal.
the only d%%% way I'd bother to read anything this B****** wrote , or watch even the previews of a movie about him is if it had a happy ending.....The execution team taking hours to find a suitable vein , and the executioner shooting his ass full of battery acid without the initial sedative would almost convince me. Other than that tho he can sell anything he wants , I aint buying it.
Practice safe sex.....Marry a death inmate...You'll never get none
He had a disagreement with his common-law wife and it must have been a one hell of an argument.
Instead of acting like a rational human being, Lam Luong decided that the only way he could really teach her who was boss, was to throw their four children off the 80 foot tall Dauphin Island Bridge. And that is exactly what he did.
He drove Ryan, 3, Hanna, 2, Lindsey, 1, and baby Danny, 4 months, to the bridge and one by one, threw all of these helpless and defenseless children off the highest point of the bridge into the freezing water of the Mississippi Sound.
The autopsies showed that their deaths were caused by blunt force trauma and drowning. They were alive when their Daddy tossed them off the bridge.
For over a year, Lam Luong blamed a mysterious woman named Kim and proclaimed his innocence. But on in March this year, Lam Luong finally admitted to the murders. In a pre-trial hearing, he stunned the court and his own attorneys by writing a letter of confession to the judge, changing his plea to guilty and asking for the death sentence.
He tried to change his plea back later when he realised that, despite the confession, he would still be tried for capital murder.
This was an act of pure evil.
I am still re-examining my stance on the DP but the decpicable actions of this sad excuse for a human being makes the Pro case a lot stronger.
Thank you. I'm an anti DP but I di agree with you that knowing the crimes these people commit makes it very difficult at times. It must've been the daddy of all arguements you're right about that. I wonder if he genuinally wanted to confess or was it that he thought he would be found guilty? It sounds like the former therory and then he changed his mind when he realized 'Sh** they actually mean to kill me' I wonder what te poor mother of those kids attitude is twords him?? I maybe wrong here but I think the husband of Andrea Yates who drowned her 5 kids is 'Standing by my wife' I still maintain my stance that nobody has the right to take anothers life but it is difficult to maintain that stance but I still havn't been convinced otherwise. Thanks again for the info.

seriously: Regarding your comment that Charles Ng comes from a "wealthy family", a "GOOD FAMILY"; since when does being wealthy equate to good? They are two entirely different things; and, frankly, some of the worst criminals are in fact wealthy. Con't in next post.

seriously: Consider the Clinton's: Bill has oral "isn't sex" in the White House, now virtually every kinder. knows what oral sex is. Then there's Hillary first deriding the women who came forward about her husband; then she deleting files to hide her activities.

seriously: Oh, and let's not forget Bill Clinton "didn't inhale" when he smoked pot...yeah, right! At a time when America's young men are being drafted for the Vietnam war, Bill & Hillary choose to take a trip to Russia and conveniently miss the draft all together.

seriously: Remember Hillary is for women & children; yet she only had one child and she doesn't even bake cookies...oh my! She defames her opponents with accusations of womanizing hoping we forget about her husband IN THE OVAL OFFICE! Not happening honey!

seriously: Then there's the BIG BANK BAIL-OUT; the banker's show up in Washington D.C. to get WELFARE (OUR tax dollars) by flying there in a LEAR JET...really! Even Obama was shocked at that move! But they're GOOD because they're WEALTHY? I think not!
Sept 1, 2019 20:33:22 GMT -5
seriously: I think Obama should have made them liquidate all their assets both business AND PERSONAL so they could climb over their own pile of s***; instead of expecting the American tax payers to do it.

seriously: Wake up people! Don't you realize that WE THE PEOPLE don't need the rich, THEY NEED US...to do the work that makes them richer so they don't have to clean their own toilets; and all we get is industrialized meats and crops, GMO's, antibiotic resistance.
Sept 1, 2019 20:38:53 GMT -5
seriously: Patented seed crops, running small farmer's out of business, toxic waste, poisoned water, dirty air, deforestation, global warming. By the way, who even wants to live in a GLOBAL GOVERNMENT world with a GLOBAL ECONOMY?

seriously: America should be more like Switzerland, fix our own 'broken wagon' and let the rest of the world fix theirs...it's not an U.S.A. problem. Screw oil, it pollutes the earth...GO SOLAR, WIND, WATER POWER! Screw the utility companies!
Sept 1, 2019 20:48:33 GMT -5
seriously: That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. Best way to topple the rich...eliminate money and go back to the barter system; let the rich wipe their own bums and clean their own toilets...for a change! No more "Groom of the stool" for them.

seriously: Then banks and wall street can crash all they want; why should we be dragged down with them.
